17.07.2014: CMC CHARITY SHOPPING SPREE FOR PERSATUAN RUMAH ANAK-ANAK YATIM NUR RAUDHAH
In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan and in preparation for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri, CMC Engineering in collaboration with the Love Bag Project, has organised a charity shopping spree to accompany the children from Persatuan Kebajikan Rumah Anak-anak Yatim Nur Raudhah, Gombak Batu 11, Selangor and Pertubuhan Penyayang Raudhah, Keramat Kuala Lumpur for a “baju raya” shopping.
61 children from both institution participated (mix group of age up till 17 years old, 30 girls and 31 boys) the event which took place at AEON Big Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur. The event jointly launched by Love Bag Project, founder Nur Davina and CMC Engineering Director of Corporate Affairs, Nazatul Najla.
There were 50 volunteers involved in the event consisting of CMC staff, partners and friends, who were all delighted and grateful to share their time and effort with the children in preparation of their Hari Raya celebration. The event was part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) community engagement initiatives by CMC Group of Companies. CMC’s CSR principle is based on the believe in giving back to our major stakeholders – the society and its community.
When asked what was the objective of the event, CMC Director of Corporate Affairs, Nazatul Najla responded, “We must not forget to give back and share our success to the society and community in which we are operating in, so tonight, we would just like to make the children smile”.
